100 Baby Products I Actually Use & Recommend (From a Mom of Multiple Babies)

Having a baby is one of the most beautiful, exciting, and slightly overwhelming experiences of your life. And if you're anything like most first-time moms, you're probably staring at a baby registry thinking… how does a tiny human require this much stuff?
The truth is, babies don’t actually need everything the internet says they do. But after multiple pregnancies and babies of my own, I’ve learned there are definitely some items that make life a whole lot easier.
This list might look long - and honestly, it is. But every single product here is something I have personally used in real life with my own babies. I don't recommend things I haven't tested myself, and I would never share a product just because it's popular or trending.
Some of these items were lifesavers during pregnancy, some made postpartum recovery easier, and others became daily essentials once baby arrived. You’ll even find a section specifically for moms with some of my favorite labor and postpartum items that helped me through those early weeks.
And yes, if this is your first baby, you will probably end up with more stuff than you need. That’s completely normal. Every mom goes through that phase of figuring out what actually works for her family. Think of this list as a collection of tried-and-true items that made a real difference in our home.
To make things easier to browse, I’ve organized everything into categories so you can jump straight to what you’re looking for.

Activity, Gear & Babywearing
I love using this wrap with an infant and up to 2-4 months. It's super light and no bulk. Supportive enough for when baby is smaller and also comes with a head support pillow. I don't recommend this wrap for older babies though as it's not as structured.
This is my favorite in between of the Konny carrier and the Ergobaby Omni. It's soft but structured and not super bulky. It also packs well and is generally my go-to carrier.
This is the most structured and supportive carrier I've used. I love that it works for all stages newborn+. You do not need a special infant insert for this carrier. The only thing I don't like is that it feels a little bulky and doesn't pack the best compared to the other two carriers.
We used these a few times for going to the race track and they work great! You can use them for travel or loud sporting activities.
Low profile pacifier that is shaped for the palate. Doesn't block the nose.
No more pacifiers being lost or dropped on the floor. These are made of silicone and sometimes double as a teether, since your baby will definitely be trying to chew on it!
These are easy to use and clean and I love the fun design options!
Each of my kiddos loved these blocks and played with them in different ways as they grew older.
These have mixed reviews for fit, but they worked great for both of my kids. My 2 year old still likes to wear them sometimes.
Thick play mat with a non-slip bottom. Great for baby to crawl and roll around on.
My all time favorite bootie, they don't fall off unlike socks. I have these in every size up to 12 months.
Activity and play suggestions for every stage up to 12 months!
Great for wearing around the house on slick floors when babies are learning how to walk.
Great little toothbrush that kiddos like since it's a giraffe.
Lightweight and protective first walking shoes for baby.
My favorite little nail clippers for tiny fingers! These have a light and a magnifying glass on them so it makes it near impossible to accidentally cut your little one.
Love using this around the house when I need to bring baby into different rooms with me. The cover comes off completely so you can throw it in the wash!
Babyproofing Essentials
I love that you don't have to screw these into your cabinets and they are super simple to use. You can also turn then "off" temporarily if you need to leave a cabinet unlocked. Just flip a little level to turn it back into lock mode.
Bath Time
Gentle and cleans baby's hair nicely.
Fun non-slip bath mat.
Cute and fun faucet cover to keep kids from bonking their heads during bath time.
Helpful little bath tub that fits in your bath and grows with your baby for all stages.
Soft rinse cup for bath time that doubles as a bath toy!
No more guessing if the bath water is too hot or too cold! This has a timer you can set so you and baby/toddler know when bath time is over. Also has a built in alarm if the water is too hot. I also use this whenever I take a bath too haha! I used to make my baths way too hot and now they are perfect.
So soft for baby's skin! I love these so much I bought a pack for me to wash my face at night.
Car Travel Gear
I've used this for years now and it helps so much with keeping rear-facing kiddos cool. Sometimes it's worked a little too well and made my kids cold haha! I love that it has a variable speed setting and it clamps tightly to the headrest so there's no chance of it falling.
Essential for the car to see bebe from your rearview mirror. I like that this one isn't bulky and doesn't wobble or shake around. Babies also love staring and talking to themselves in the car with it!
Keeps your car seat protected from wear and tear and has helpful storage pockets.
Great little toothbrush that kiddos like since it's a giraffe.
Diapering Essentials
I try and use more natural ingredients and opted to check this one out over my favored A&D Ointment and it seems to work just as well so far! This still has some ingredients I'm not fired up about, but I feel you can't win them all.
Natural ingredients but not as potent as the Weleda or A&D. So I use this for minor redness and irritation.
Great hand sanitizer with natural ingredients.
Great for on the go instead of bringing a huge pack of wipes everywhere. I buy the Kirkland wipes and the packs are huge. So I cut the package open and put about 1/3 into one of these at a time. Tips: keep the cut open package of wipes in a ziplock so they don't dry out. Also DO NOT overfill these dispensers or the material will rip or the zipper will fail.
Folds up nicely and fits in your bag easily.
Such a handy diaper trash can! It keeps most of the smell contained (I recommend getting the carbon filters too). But I love the refills to make your own bags. I originally had a diaper pail that used kitchen trash bags and I ended up not liking it.
These help to cut down on the smell of a diaper genie and I think they work pretty well. I don't know that anything could work 100%.
Buy these with your diaper genie so you have a good backstock. Make sure to reorder when you're on your last one, I've run out before and panicked!
Feeding & Starting Solids
These have mixed reviews for fit, but they worked great for both of my kids. My 2 year old still likes to wear them sometimes.
These are a staple in my kitchen and I also carry one in my purse for going out to eat. These catch so many crumbs and potential messes. Especially when baby is learning to drink from an open cup!
Great starter set for weaning to solids through toddlerhood. The dishes suction to a table or high chair tray so it's harder for babies to throw a plate of food on the floor. Though it does still happen...I don't know how they figure it out so easily!
Awesome cups to baby step learning to drink from an open cup.
For Mom: Pregnancy, Labor & Postpartum
I usually start using a belly oil once the skin on my tummy starts feeling tight or itchy. I put it on before bed. I recommend spreading it onto the sides of your belly and down to your bikini line for full coverage.
This spray is a lifesaver for postpartum recovery. I haven't used the balm, it didn't come as a pack previously, but I'm sure it also works well!
Love how compact yet supportive this thing is! I used one of the HUGE pillows in my first pregnancy and while it was nice sometimes, it was just so bulky. I use this pillow at home and have traveled with it many times.
I despise the hospital gowns I think they're itchy and so uncomfortable. I wore this gown when I was in labor with my second child and it was very comfortable. It definitely did get destroyed by all the labor sweat and fluids though so I threw it away. But it was totally worth it just for the labor!
My favorite little nail clippers for tiny fingers! These have a light and a magnifying glass on them so it makes it near impossible to accidentally cut your little one.
Listen...don't knock it till you try it. I prefer these over using the massive pads they give you at the hospital to take home. They're easy and convenient and offer full coverage for postpartum bleeding.
Baby Health & Wellness
Three toothbrushes for ages 0-2 years. These are great for each stage of teething. Each one is very gentle on teeth and gums and a great progressive way to get baby used to having their teeth brushed.
Great little toothbrush that kiddos like since it's a giraffe.
My kids and I both use this toothpaste! I love that it's fluoride free and doesn't include nano hydroxyapatite. It's safe if swallowed and is encouraged to be left on the teeth for a longer remineralizing effect.
This is the best sunscreen, it's natural and non-toxic. And it WORKS! My family has never been burned when using this sunscreen. I actually find that I tan well by using it which is a lovely bonus.
Great for clearing congestion without a bunch of yucky ingredients.
Kids saline spray for congested or dry noses.
Natural chest rub for congestion, no unnecessary ingredients.
Great bulb syringe that clears out mucus. I love that it clear and comes apart in two pieces so you can clean it very well.
Powerful but gentle when sometimes a bulb just isn't getting it all out. This was such a huge help when my daughter had terrible congestion as an infant, it got it all out!
Essential for every nursery, I recommend getting a thermometer that has a quick read. Babies (and toddlers) are so impatient. This one is no frills and works well.
Cough syrup that's for the little little ones and doesn't have yucky ingredients.
My favorite little nail clippers for tiny fingers! These have a light and a magnifying glass on them so it makes it near impossible to accidentally cut your little one.

Works so well for little ones and I love that it's already dosed so it's easy to administer and take on the go. I take the adult version and swear by it for colds.
I love and trust Pink Stork products! This vitamin D is super easy to administer and is a 2 month supply. I do not recommend getting a vitamin D that uses a dropper bottle similar to essential oils. I swear the drop sizes vary and sometimes are huge - then as the product gets low it takes forever for it to come out. This dropper is the best!
Another Pink Stork favorite! It's easy to administer and is a 2 month supply. I also love that their probiotic and vitamin D are not combined like most supplements. Sometimes babies need a break from a probiotic so it's easy to cycle them off for a bit - without losing vitamin D too.
This thing has come in handy so many times to remove icky things like boogies, ear wax, and dirt under nails. My 4 year old likes to use it to get dirt out of his nails.
Nursery & Sleep Essentials
This is great for on the go running errands, in the car, or road trips. Has a few different sound options and an optional light. My kids now just love playing with it haha.
Easy to operate and inexpensive. The best part it's not WiFi enabled! I am just not about WiFi baby cameras or WiFi lots of things for babies.
This is a great bedside sleeper when your little one outgrows a bassinet. It's also a great playyard.
I've used this for all of my babies and love it! You can adjust the height so that it can swivel over the bed - if you want. The side can collapse down or be locked in place. With mesh all around it's breathable for baby and easy for you to see baby.
Used for all of my kids, keeps the baby nice and snuggly in the Halo 3.0 bassinet. This item isn't always available though which is such a bummer!
These are silent swaddles that don't use velcro so they won't disturb your baby! These also work as a great transition to a sleep sack.
I've used these for all of my babies and love them! I recommend making sure the velcro is latched onto the swaddle before washing to prolong the life of it. The velcro will wear out over time and sometimes I needed to purchase new swaddles with each baby, even with washing them properly. I don't feel it's a defect of the swaddle, I think it's just that they get used SO much!
Just an all around great sleep sack! The zipper is heavy duty and since it zips around instead of up and down it makes diaper changing a little easier. The weight of the material is in between light and heavy so it's a nice slightly "warmer" sleep sack, but definitely not as warm as fleece.
Warm and light weight fleece sleep sack that is also super cute!
Lightweight blanket that will grow with your little one into toddler stages. Note that I never let my baby sleep with a blanket, this can just be nice to use during feedings, couch time, etc.
Nursing & Bottle Feeding
These lovely things have helped me a few different times when I've had a blockage (mastitis) in my breast. I originally thought you should use heat when you have a blockage but that's not the case! What's nice about these though is you can use them hot or cold depending on your booby ailment!
I love using these on the go in the car, especially on road trips. It actually gets the pumps clean!
The cooling relief is wonderful in the beginning stages of breastfeeding.
Super breathable and easy to use. Doubles as a car seat cover, tunic, and blanket. This is one of my top favorite baby gear purchases.
A nursing staple, love the support this pillow gives for holding your little one while feeding.
This is the only breastpump I use. It's perfect for pumping at home or in the car. I started with a regular Medela pump and found it to be cumbersome and it actually didn't work near as well as the Momcozy.
This thing has been great for road trips or general outings and requires no electricity or charging. You just fill up the thermos with boiling water before you leave the house. When ready to be used, you pour half of it into the outer plastic cup and pop your bottle in for a couple minutes!
Essential for feeding and burping baby and cleaning up spit up messes!
My favorite bottle, no leaks and works well with breastfeeding. Make sure to pay attention to the flow rate of the nipple, it comes in different options depending on your baby's age.
Teething Relief
I swear by these, they have worked for both of my kids - nothing else does. It's already dosed so it's easy to administer and take on the go.
Great little teether that is easy for little hands to hold onto.
These work great for getting to molars coming in.
Strollers & Car Seats
Used this for all of my kiddos and we love it! I will say though, this was a gift and something I probably would not have purchased on my own - it's a bit pricey. There are some other similar alternatives on the market now, but I can't speak to those.
All of my kiddos use this seat and it has grown with them well.
Helps baby stay cool on stroller rides! I don't recommend this for the car as it doesn't have a way to clamp onto a headrest. So it will most likely fall or become a safety hazard in the event of a crash.
These have saved me countless times from having to tear apart and wash an entire car seat! I always have them in my car, along with a grocery bag so I can put the soiled one in a bag until we get home to wash it.
